The territorial police in Wakiso have in custody one SSemaganda Ibrahim for the alleged murder of his 2-year-old, biological daughter, Namaganda Shallon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On 22.08.2023 at around 7 pm, he picked up his daughter from the grandmother, Walusimbi Dora, a 55-year-old resident of Bulenga B, village Nakabugo parish that he would take her back after a couple of hours .<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He took her daughter home and harked her to death from the sitting room, then transferred the body to the bedroom lay it on her bed and covered her with bedsheets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The victim was undressed and found with deep-cut wounds on the forehead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The suspect had separated from the victim’s mother Makati Catherine, a 27-year-old female adult, of Muyenje village Lukwanga parish in Wakiso, about a year ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After the gruesome murder, the suspect went and handed himself over to the defence secretary detained at Buloba police station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt is painful that the two-year-old victim died from the hands of a father, who was supposed to keep her safe,\u201d said Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added; \u201cIt also shows how persons under conditions of stress, and depression were costing the lives of innocent victims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe strongly condemn such acts of brutality, where parents, transfer their anger on innocent children. We are going to fast-track this matter through the courts of law and ensure the suspect is punishable.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
