Africa’s sky giant, Ethiopian Airlines, has been nominated for the Air Cargo News Awards 2023 in two categories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The prestigious awards touted as the “Oscars of the freight industry,” are now in their 39th year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ethiopian Airlines has been nominated in the categories of; Best Cargo Airline-Africa’ and ‘Cargo Airline of the Year’.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The awards this year, will take place at the Hilton London Syon Park on Thursday October 12.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to industry experts, winning the award is a sign of being a market leader and recognises the hard work of team members, helping to inspire future performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ethiopian was at the forefront in distributing medical supplies during the COVID-19 global pandemic. The airline played a leading role in the distribution of PPEs in the wake of the pandemic, and continued its global cargo service to transport vaccines and test kits worldwide. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Housed within the largest trans-shipment terminal in Africa, the state-of-the-art Pharma Wing of Ethiopian Cargo and Logistics Services, was central to the airline’s effective and efficient handling and shipping of medical supplies across the world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ethiopian is the largest cargo network operator in Africa and one of the major global cargo carriers with a modern warehouse of 1million tons storage capacity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
