The Ministry of Health Permanent Secretary who also doubles as President Yoweri Museveni\u2019s Personal Physician has revealed that the head of state tested positive for COVID-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. Diana Atwine made the revelation in a tweet on Wednesday saying despite testing positive for the virus, President Museveni is in robust health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Today June 7, 2023 H.E The President tested positive for covid-19 . This was after developing mild flue -like symptoms. However he is in robust heath and continues to perform his duties normally while adhering to SOPs,” Dr. Atwine tweeted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the same day, President Museveni delivered the State-of-the-nation address, where he also made mention of the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“”This morning, I was feeling as if I had a cold. I took a rapid Coronavirus test which indicated negative. I did two more tests with deeper analysis. One of them turned out positive, the other was negative. So, I am a suspect of Corona as I speak. That’s why I came in a separate car with Maama Janet Museveni,” the president said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
