Last week, President Yoweri Museveni sent shockwaves in the opposition when he held a massive three-day tour of greater Masaka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tour which saw him hold two engagements with leaders in the sub-region at Masaka Liberation Square, was organised as part of his Presidential Tour of the region to preach his gospel according to wealth creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the highly successful tour that also saw him head to the Island district of Kalangala where he was given a warm reception, political pundits opined that President Museveni has reclaimed the sub-region where he lost heavily in the last general elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, in an apparent attempt to show that they still wield political muscle, opposition National Unity Platform (NUP) party president Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine, on Wednesday, tried to lead a procession that was largely shunned.<\/p>\n\n\n

Photos shared on his Twitter account are a far cry from the crowds that greeted his failed Presidential bid. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In many of the photos, many people can seen gazing at the thin procession which sources could have had his supporters from Kampala who accompanied him for the funeral.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bobi who was from a burial in the area will probably have to rethink his strategy for Masaka now that Museveni seems to be making significant inroads in reclaiming the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Kalangala, Museveni used the opportunity to rally greater Masaka residents to avoid being swept by mysterious political waves, a jibe many say was aimed at NUP. ONC headed by SPA Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo organised the rally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
