John Twesigye Ntamuhiira, stated that there are several traditional schools around the nation that are struggling with deteriorated and insufficient infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The committee also stated that in order for schools to provide pupils with an education that meets the very minimal requirements for quality, they urgently need government help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In agreement, MPs provided evidence of the urgent need to review the circumstances surrounding traditional schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hon. Francis Mwijukye, a member of parliament for Buhweju County, questioned how &#8220;Secure Your Future&#8221; would be achievable without high-quality education given that the government had made that commitment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;In order to attend traditional schools, we need more money. You are familiar with institutions like Kitgum High, Sir Samuel Baker Gulu, and Teso College Aloet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These are all embarrassing conditions. He stated that many leaders, including the Speaker and ministers, attended these schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Others in the group argued in favor of providing ample resources to the whole field of education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hon. Connie Nakayenze, a Mbale City woman representative, stated that education is a crucial component of growth and emphasized the need for increased budgetary support for the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;We need to discuss performance, raising teacher pay, and routine school inspections if we want to make education affordable.&#8221; &#8220;Our kids will grow up to be gangsters if we don&#8217;t educate them,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Hon. Moriku Joyce Kaducu, Minister of State for Education, expressed appreciation for the funding given to the field and urged the lawmakers to keep pushing for improvements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;When we don&#8217;t place a high priority on excellent education, we won&#8217;t be able to meet the standards set by other countries, and our kids won&#8217;t be able to compete in the job market.&#8221; Therefore, she stated, &#8220;Funding is actually at the core of all activities.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Committee on Education and Sports has allocated Sh15 billion to give traditional schools across the nation a facelift.
