However, three months before his scheduled retirement date, Principal Judge Dr. Flavian Zeija ordered him to take a leave of absence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This controversy overshadowed his retirement. The constitution stipulates that the judge has three months to complete any outstanding chamber work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He had already received a sanction from the US Treasury Department for their suspected involvement in activities that targeted young children in a dubious adoption scheme. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Department made notice of his involvement in a scheme that involved kidnapping young Ugandan children from their families and placing them in an unreliable adoption network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, Justice Musene refuted the charges and said he was willing to be examined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Justice Musene passed away on Sunday night in Mbale Hospital, according to Sheila Wamboga, the principal communications officer for the judiciary.
