Shafic Sizomu, 15, had his right palm severed after a battle for a pilau, and Kiira region police are currently detaining three people on that charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the central police station in Jinja, the three suspects being held are Yasin Eguma, Ziyadi Akidi, and Norman Kabale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sizomu, a resident of Wakalenge cell in the Jinja City Northern division, reportedly attended a graduation ceremony on Sunday night in the same locale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the serving table, Sizomu and his buddies formed a queue to get food. But, the suspects pushed them out of the way and seized the saucepan with the rice from them by force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The two parties got into a fight over it, and one of the suspects pulled a machete out of his waist and chopped off Sizomu’s palm before running away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sizomu says he is improving steadily while receiving treatment at an unknown clinic in Jinja City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nonetheless, he claims that his ongoing infirmity will prevent him from managing his everyday responsibilities, and he wants the suspects to be brought to justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The suspects are accused of two counts each of attempted murder and intentionally causing great bodily harm to their victim, according to James Mubi, spokesman for the Kiira provincial police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mubi reports that the main suspect, who has only been known as Majid, is still at large and that efforts are being made to find him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
