{"id":34351,"date":"2022-12-29T15:27:04","date_gmt":"2022-12-29T12:27:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/?p=34351"},"modified":"2022-12-29T15:27:12","modified_gmt":"2022-12-29T12:27:12","slug":"case-files-burnt-as-thugs-break-into-hoima-resident-state-attorneys-office","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/index.php\/2022\/12\/29\/case-files-burnt-as-thugs-break-into-hoima-resident-state-attorneys-office\/","title":{"rendered":"Case Files Burnt As Thugs Break Into Hoima Resident State Attorney\u2019s Office"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Unknown Thugs have broken into the Hoima Chief Resident State Attorney&#8217;s office and torched several files.&nbsp;The thugs broke into the offices in the wee hours of Thursday morning.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The affected offices are&nbsp;located along Hoima-Kampala road near the office of the Resident City Commissioner-RCC, Hoima Resident District Commissioner-RDC, Albertine Regional Police headquarters, and District Internal Security Officer-DISO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Julius Hakiza, the Albertine Region Police spokesperson, says that the thugs gained entrance into the offices through the behind part of the building after cutting the chain link.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He says after cutting the chain link, the thugs later cut one of the windows and entered the offices, and set several case files on fire before they took off.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hakiza says that police were tipped off after people saw fire emerging from the offices at around 4 am.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Hoima2-1024x683.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-34353\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Hoima2-1024x683.png 1024w, https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Hoima2-300x200.png 300w, https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Hoima2-768x512.png 768w, https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Hoima2-1536x1024.png 1536w, https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Hoima2-360x240.png 360w, https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Hoima2.png 1920w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Some of the case files that have been burnt in the offices of the Hoima Resident state Attorney<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Hakiza, investigations into the matter have commenced. They are currently analyzing CCTV footage to establish what exactly could have happened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vincent Apha Opio, the Kikuube LC V Vice Chairperson fears that many crucial case files could have been burnt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He wants police to investigate circumstances, under which thugs could have penetrated into the offices that are surrounded by many security offices.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is not clear whether the offices were being guarded by the time the thugs broke into them.
