Unknown assailants have raided Kaaka Spare World shop in Hoima Oil city and made off with a firearm belonging to a private security guard. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The incident happened around 2 am on Monday morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The private guard whose firearm was stolen has been identified as Eunice Kobusinge 28, from Uganda Securiko limited. The guard has since been detained at Hoima city central police station. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The thugs took off with an AK 47 riffle registration number 303-65793pol107928 with 2 rounds of ammunition. \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Patel Sheilesh, the Director of Kaaka Spare world shop, says that he got to know about the incident when he reported for work. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Shaban Baguma, the manager of Uganda Securiko limited, says that they have since reported the matter to the police and investigations have commenced. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Julius Hakiza, the Albertine Region Police spokesperson, says a team from the flying squad has been dispatched to hunt for the thugs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Hakiza, preliminary investigations indicate that the guard was asleep on duty at the time the thugs raided the area. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
