Journalist Flavia Tumusiime\u00a0 has on Tuesday shocked the public that she is quiting Capital FM, a radio station based in Kampala.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tumusiime who has been in the media for over 15 years revealed that effective August 31 this month,she will be leaving the station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She has been hosting mid-morning show at the station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“They took a teenager with excitement and passion and empowered me to be the best.Allow the humble brag that we pulled the best English midmorning show in the country consistently all these years,”she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tumusiime announced that tomorrow is going to be her last show at capital FM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2018\u2019 Tomorrow 31st August will be my final show at capital FM for the mid-morning show, it has been a life and career changing experience for me since 2006,\u2019\u2019she revealed via her Twitter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She explained that it\u2019s high time for her to venture into other things and eye other opportunities outside the media industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2018\u2019The time has come again for me to stretch my potential and see what else I can become,\u2019\u2019 she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She however assured her fans that she will return to the station at any time perhaps in another capacity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“This is the end of the road for me on the midmorning show BUT certainly not the end for me Capital FM Uganda . I’ll be back in another capacity sooner than you think,”she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tumusiime joined media in 2006 which sums up to 16 years of active journalism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In her journey as journalist she has worked on various media houses which include NTV Uganda where she was the co- host of morning show at NTV, news anchor at NTV, HOT100 FM, VJ for channel O, and Capital FM among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tumusiime was born in 1989 in Kampala and is the only child of Enoch Tumusiime and Christine Asiimwe, who hail from Kabale, South Western Uganda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She attended St Theresa Kisubi for primary school, then joined Kitante Hill Secondary School for both “O” and “A” levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She then attended Makerere University Business School where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in International Business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
