{"id":31539,"date":"2022-07-04T13:28:49","date_gmt":"2022-07-04T10:28:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/?p=31539"},"modified":"2022-07-04T13:28:51","modified_gmt":"2022-07-04T10:28:51","slug":"motor-vehicle-knocks-four-people-dead-in-hoima","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/index.php\/2022\/07\/04\/motor-vehicle-knocks-four-people-dead-in-hoima\/","title":{"rendered":"Motor Vehicle Knocks Four People Dead In Hoima"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Four people have been knocked dead in an accident that happened along the Hoima-Kaiso-Tonya road this morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The accident occurred near Kyamukunjuki trading centre in Kitoba sub-county, when the victims who were riding on a motorcycle registration number UDW 280K bajaj were knocked by a Toyota wish, registration number UBK 654V which was heading to Hoima.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The deceased persons have only been identified by a single name each; Elvis, Darius, Jackson and Onesmus, all residents of Chongambe trading centre in Buseruka sub-county. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The four were reportedly heading to Bujawe forest in Kitoba sub-county, for timber harvesting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">William Byakagaba, an eyewitness explains that the deceased persons died on the spot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Julius Hakiza, the Albertine region police spokesperson said that the driver who is yet to be identified abandoned the vehicle and took off after the accident. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He says police preliminary investigations indicate that the accident was a result of overspeeding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The motorcycle and the vehicle involved in the accident have been towed and parked at Hoima Central Police Station.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Four people have been knocked dead in an accident that happened along the Hoima-Kaiso-Tonya road this morning.
