Police have recovered three magazines containing 90 rounds of live ammunition abandoned at the home of Muhammed Kakaire, a resident of Wanyange lake cell in Jinja City Northern division. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police recovered the bullets on Sunday morning after receiving a tip-off from Kakaire\u2019s house help who saw an army green arm chest jacket beside their house.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The house help immediately alerted officers at Wanyange police post. Detectives deployed police canines to trace the person who abandoned the ammunition in vain.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The househelp, whose identity has been withheld told our reporter that Kakaire is not always around and they do not have any armed guards within their premises. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe don\u2019t have any armed guards around our premises and as the overall overseer of this house on behalf of my boss, I had to alert the police after sighting such suspicious equipment outside the house,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Te Kiira region police spokesperson, James Mubi says that a team of detectives is liaising with their counterparts from sister security organizations to establish the source of the live ammunition. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
