<\/p>\nNational Social Security Fund yesterday kicked off its Annual Customer Connect Week with various activities that include financial literacy training and product education to equip members with financial knowledge, as well as a medical camp to avail free health care to surrounding communities.<\/p>\n
The financial literacy training will focus on topics that include saving, investment, planning for retirement, personal finance management and debt management.<\/p>\n
These will be supplemented by free financial advisory services from the Fund\u2019s investment team, Capital Markets Authority, Uganda Registrations Services Bureau, Uganda Law Society and the Uganda Securities Exchange<\/p>\n
On product education, the Fund will, during the week, focus on enrolling its members to their e-service channels that include SMS and email alerts in order to improve convenience and efficiency in their service delivery.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe average usage of our e-channels is at 56% on a monthly basis while the over the-counter engagement with customer stands at 43% – We now want to customers to be able to self-serve anytime, anywhere. This I believe, will eventually reduce the queues at physical service points,\u201d Richard Byarugaba, MD NSSF said, during the launch of the Customer Connect Week.<\/p>\n

In addition, members and surrounding communities will benefit from a free medical camp that will provide free Hepatitis B screening, Yellow fever vaccination, Diabetes and Blood Pressure screening.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese activities affirm our mantra \u2013 which is to provide a better life for our members,\u201d Byarugaba added.<\/p>\n
Now in its 5th<\/sup> year, the NSSF Customer Connect week aims at increasing the Fund\u2019s customer engagement and collecting feedback in order to improve its overall customer service experience.<\/p>\n \u201cI am happy to note that through this and other customer focused initiatives, we have witnessed the Fund\u2019s customer satisfaction rate grow to 92% as at December 2017 from 49% seven years ago \u2013 Meaning we are on the right track to improving customer service experience\u201d<\/p>\n The initiative will run up to\u00a0 22nd<\/sup> February at the Constitutional Square in Kampala and at the Fund\u2019s branches countrywide.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" National Social Security Fund yesterday kicked off its Annual Customer Connect Week with various activities that include financial literacy training and product education to equip members with financial knowledge, as well as a medical camp to avail free health care to surrounding communities.
