The main 48th birthday celebrations for Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba will be held this Saturday, May 7 at Entebbe Cricket Grounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The chairman of the organizing committee, Mr Kiryowa Kiwanuka, said the only-invite event will be graced by Muhoozi\u2019s friends and fans from across Uganda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe will have plenty of entertainment for our guests as Gen Muhoozi says a big thank you to all countrymen for supporting him in his life journey,\u201d said Kiryowa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGen Muhoozi is giving back to society for their enduring love,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Some of the musicians expected to perform at the event include Bebe Cool and Eddie Kenzo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Resources for the event were mobilized by Muhoozi\u2019s friends in Uganda and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gates will be open at 3:00pm. Officials said security will be tightened to allow revelers to enjoy their party without any interruptions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police have started deploying armed units to secure the cricket grounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Several functions have been held by Muhoozi\u2019s fans in different parts of Uganda to celebrate his birthday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
These were in Kampala (Lugogo), Ishaka, Fort Portal, Rukungiri, Rwampara among other places.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Commenting on the Fort Portal celebrations held on Thursday night, Muhoozi observed: \u201cThank you very much Fort Portal! The MK Army (which is really a grass roots and home-grown youth movement) is showing it is irresistible and unstoppable).\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
