Goodlyfe crew member Moses Ssekibogo famously known by his stage name Radio, has been pronounced dead today morning at Case Hospital.<\/p>\n
Radio has been in the intensive care unit for the past two weeks after undergoing a brain surgery.<\/p>\n
His admission to hospital resulted from a bar brawl where he was punched to comma by a bar bouncer in Entebbe.<\/p>\n
Several people including artistes and family members are flocking Case Hospital, Kampala to pay their last respect to the renowned singer.<\/p>\n
Who is Radio?<\/strong><\/p>\n Radio was part of the Goodlyfe Crew. His singing partner was Douglas Sseguya aka Weasel.<\/p>\n Radio provided smooth RnB vocals while Weasel\u2019s contribution is a fusion of reggae, ragga and dancehall vibes.<\/p>\n Because of their prominence, Radio and Weasel formed their own duo known as Radio and Weasel.<\/p>\n Radio has had a prosperous musical career. He studied at Holy Cross Lake View Secondary School in Jinja, where he served as president of the school\u2019s Youth Alive Club.<\/p>\n He composed musical projects for the club that succeeded in inter-school Youth Alive Club competitions.<\/p>\n In 2002, Radio studied at Kiira College Butiki in Jinja where he had a two-year break in his musical career concentrating on his studies.<\/p>\n He later joined Jose Chameleone\u2019s Leone Island Crew in 2004.<\/p>\n While working as Chameleone\u2019s backing vocalist, Radio released solos on Leone Island Records.<\/p>\n These include \u201cJennifer\u201d, \u201cDagala\u201d, \u201cWololo\u201d and \u201cSweet Lady\u201d.<\/p>\n Sweet Lady was well received, though Radio\u2019s public profile remained low.<\/p>\n Radio and Weasel became backing vocalists for the greatly popular Ugandan musician Jose Chameleone, but later broke off from Chameleone\u2019s Leone Island Crew in 2008 to form the Goodlyfe Crew.<\/p>\n The duo Radio and Weasel songs have been successful on Ugandan radio.<\/p>\n Starting with \u201cNakudata\u201d in 2008, the duo released \u201cLwaki Onumya\u201d, \u201cZuena\u201d, \u201cNyambura\u201d and \u201cBread and Butter\u201d.<\/p>\n In mid-2008, the duo collaborated with artists such as Rachel Kay, Blu*3, OS, Allan Toniks, GNL and Zambia\u2019s General Ozzy.<\/p>\n They performed live and collaborated with Ugandan artist Keko.
