{"id":2697,"date":"2018-01-18T10:28:10","date_gmt":"2018-01-18T07:28:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ugmirror.com\/?p=2697"},"modified":"2018-01-18T10:36:35","modified_gmt":"2018-01-18T07:36:35","slug":"court-moves-to-arrest-nbs-simon-muyanga-lutaaya","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/index.php\/2018\/01\/18\/court-moves-to-arrest-nbs-simon-muyanga-lutaaya\/","title":{"rendered":"Court Orders Arrest of NBS\u2019 Simon Muyanga Lutaaya"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jinja High Court has issued a warrant of arrest to NBS Barometer presenter Simon Muyanga Lutaaya for failure to pay a court fine worth Shs153million.<\/p>\n<p>Simon Muyanga Lutaaya was fined after he lost the cases at Jinja High Court and Court of Appeal which he had filed against NRM&#8217;s Kenneth Lubogo\u2019s victory in the 2016 parliamentary elections.<\/p>\n<p>Lutaaya had contested on FDC ticket to become the MP of Bulamongi Constituency but he miserably lost to NRM\u2019s Kenneth Lubogo.<\/p>\n<p>Jinja High Court deputy registrar Mr Jesse Byaruhanga, yesterday issued the arrest warrant after Muyanga allegedly failed to honour court summons.<\/p>\n<p>Muyanga is supposed to be arrested, sent to Kirinya prison or Nalufenya and his property sold off to recover the money.<\/p>\n<p>Muyanga however says that he appealed the fine and requested Court to review it since it was very high.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jinja High Court has issued a warrant of arrest to NBS Barometer presenter Simon Muyanga Lutaaya for failure to pay a court fine worth Shs153million.
