{"id":26722,"date":"2021-10-05T19:56:44","date_gmt":"2021-10-05T16:56:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/?p=26722"},"modified":"2021-10-05T19:56:47","modified_gmt":"2021-10-05T16:56:47","slug":"3-opm-bosses-charged-with-corruption-over-kasese-relief-items-saga","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/index.php\/2021\/10\/05\/3-opm-bosses-charged-with-corruption-over-kasese-relief-items-saga\/","title":{"rendered":"3 OPM Bosses Charged With Corruption Over Kasese Relief Items Saga"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Three officials of the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM), have been charged with corruption, abuse of Office and causing financial loss to the government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The three include; Godfrey Kaima (Under Secretary), Cyprian Dhikusooka (Principal, disaster management) and Kizito Mugerwa, the procurement officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The officiala who were charged at the Anti-Corruption Court in Kololo, Kampala, were arrested following investigations by the State House Anti-Corruption Unit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In August, Premier Robinah Nabbanja was touring Kasese in the aftermath of floods and was shocked at the substandard relief items she was meant to distribute to those affected by the floods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cKasese District is not a dumping ground, I have rejected blankets and mosquito nets because they are substandard.
