{"id":24631,"date":"2021-06-19T18:04:43","date_gmt":"2021-06-19T15:04:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/?p=24631"},"modified":"2021-06-19T18:04:46","modified_gmt":"2021-06-19T15:04:46","slug":"city-lawyer-applies-for-justice-minister-vacant-post","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/index.php\/2021\/06\/19\/city-lawyer-applies-for-justice-minister-vacant-post\/","title":{"rendered":"City Lawyer Applies For Justice Minister Vacant Post"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A lawyer, John Jackson Ntwatwa, is applying for the vacant post of Justice Minister.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In his June 16 letter to President Yoweri Museveni, Ntwatwa states that in the recently released Cabinet list, the docket of Justice Minister was left blank and that he is much capable of filling it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYour Excellency, you released a Cabinet list of ministers and State ministers. however, the release shows the blank space of the minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs thus the said position is vacant and in my understanding, you are looking for a proper and fit person in that position,\u201d Ntwatwa wrote according to reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added: \u201cI hereby apply for the appointment in that position\u2026\u2026.I am a Ugandan, a good supporter and mobiliser of the National Resistance Movement and contested as a Member of Parliament for Nakifuma constituency in the General Election\u2026\u2026.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ntwatwa claims that besides being a lawyer, he is the current executive director of Forum of Concerned Citizens of Uganda (FOCCOU) and that he is now seeking a political office to work with the President in his sixth elective term of office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last year, Ntatwa was among several individuals who picked nominations in their attempts to vie for the presidency.
