<\/p>\nThe Speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga, has set new guidelines especially on security that will see other security personnel other than the ones deployed at Parliament, leave the premises.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn light of what occurred sometime back here in the Chamber, I have taken the following resolutions; I understand that there is access to Parliament from President\u2019s Office through the fourth floor on North Wing. I instruct the Sergeant-at-Arms to seal it; and all Police Officers deployed at Parliament should wear their name tags and ranks,\u201d said Kadaga.<\/p>\n
However she cautioned MPs to act according to the law of procedures that govern the house.<\/p>\n
\u201cI want to remind Members about the Rules of Procedure and code of conduct expected of Parliament. Rules 81 and 82 should be paid to with special emphasis, it is important that we protect the sanctity of Parliament,\u201d said Kadaga before adding that;<\/p>\n
\u201c\u201cAs a Member, under rule 82, you are expected to; leave with decorum; avoid unnecessarily crossing the Floor; observe silence when other Members are speaking; avoid interrupting the maiden speech; avoid bringing into the House anything other than papers, books or other documents and; avoid clapping in the House.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is also out of order, under rule 83, to use offensive, abusive, insulting, blasphemous or unbecoming words towards another Member.\u201d<\/p>\n
