Democratic Party President Nobert Mao has been arrested by police as tried to lead a procession to Parliament.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Police surrounded the DP offices at City house in Kampala shortly after Mao had declared a walk to parliament in an effort to show that they don\u2019t support the amendment of article 102 (b) of the constitution.<\/p>\n

No sooner had he stepped out of office than the police arrested him and driven off at a break neck speed to a yet to be known location.<\/p>\n

He was arrested with other DP members and some students from Makerere University.<\/p>\n

Earlier Mao had said that the Togikwatako Red Week was officially launched and people should put on red.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis Red Week like the entire Togikwatako campaign is not an event which will expire when the final vote is taken by MPs. Rather Togikwatako is a process, said Mao before adding that; \u201cIts biggest achievement is that it has broken the political molds in which we have hitherto been confined and unleashed a new unity of purpose.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe parliamentary vote will only be a new milestone for a new momentum to ensure that those who have betrayed the will of the people pay a political price for their treachery. That is the essence of K’OGIKWATAKO- a warning.\u201d<\/p>\n
