The Minister of Gender, Labour and Social Development, Frank Tumwebaze has told NRM lawmakers to stop hiding behind the ‘Silent Majority’ slogan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tumwebaze made the remarks on Monday while addressing a group of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) party MPs who are currently attending a retreat in Kyankwanzi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“In my conclusion & call to action to the MPs-elect was; discouraging the idea of a “silent #NRM majority”. Politics is about contesting ideas thru engagement. If u don’t tell ur story correctly & factually perhaps ur opponent will tell it on your bahalf & distort it to malign you,” Tumwebaze said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ‘Silent Majority’ solgan was popularised by singer Moses Ssali aka Bebe Cool in the lead up to the last General elections to refer to NRM silent prowess.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was started as a response to the Bobi Wine wave that made itself pronounced on social media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
