A self-proclaimed prophet has been forced to shut down his ministry after falsely predicting Donald Trump <\/a>would be re-elected as president.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jeremiah Johnson, an evangelist Christian with a large following, has fervently supported Trump since his candidacy in 2015 and believed the former president was \u201cchosen by God\u201d. Last year, Johnson had also stated that Trump was \u201cchosen\u201d to win the 2020 election<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following Trump\u2019s defeat, the preacher has decided to close Jeremiah Johnson Ministries \u201cafter much prayer and the clear direction of the Lord\u201d. Per\u00a0Washington Post,<\/em>\u00a0Johnson admitted that the Ministries was experiencing\u00a0\u201ctremendous financial loss\u201d\u00a0<\/a>and \u201cthe removal of influence that has been well-established over the last decade.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has since posted a public apology via a now-deleted open letter to his Facebook page, as well as a lengthy Youtube series entitled I Was Wrong<\/em><\/a> .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the first of the videos posted in February, with more than 150,000 views, he encouraged people to take the next four years and \u201chumble\u201d themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI believe that it is a tremendous mistake to take the next four years to argue and debate and cause division and grow more prideful talking about how we think the election was taken from Donald Trump,\u201d he said in the video.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI actually believe we need to take the next four years and humble ourselves.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Johnson continued: \u2018We need to recognise that God is up to something far greater in the prophetic, charismatic movement that I believe is beyond what many even recognise. We need to stop, we need to take a breather and we need to come back to a place where we can begin to dialogue about these issues rather than be so triggered<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Johnson also urged for \u201creformation in the prophetic movement\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI have serious concerns for the charismatic-prophetic world that if we do not wake up, if we do not humble ourselves, there is greater judgment to come,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Johnson\u2019s apology has seen huge backlash from Christian fundamentalists and hardcore Trump supporters who are hoping for the politician\u2019s presidential comeback in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
