5 Red Pepper Bosses and 3 Editors of The Pepper Publications limited are to be charged with Treason, Offensive Communication and Annoying the Person of (Gen Salim) Saleh and Gen. Henry Tumukunde.<\/p>\n
The bosses are still in police detention at the highly protected, Nalufenya Police Station in Jinja.<\/p>\n
The arrested bosses include CEO, Richard Tusiime, Arinaitwe Rugyendo who is the CMO, Patrick Mugumya the COO, James Mujuni, the CCO and Muzinguzi Byarabaha the CFO.<\/p>\n
The Red Pepper Editors arrested include Ben Byarabaha, Richard Kintu and Francis Tumusiime.<\/p>\n
Company Lawyer Denis Nyombi said that four of the five directors recorded the charge and caution statement \u2014 where the suspect is read the accusation brought against them and asked whether or not they understand them \u2014 while one recorded the normal police statement.<\/p>\n
Police Spokesperson SSP Emilian Kayima said that the Red Pepper is closed until further notice.<\/p>\n
