Uganda’s ICT Minister Judith Nabakooba has issued arrest warnings to people spreading false information on plans to shut down the country this week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The minister tweeted that the authorities were aware of a plan to cause chaos from 3 to 7 February.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I call upon anyone to disassociate themselves from this evil plan. The country is safe and security will work fast to arrest anyone planning to create chaos,” she tweeted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The opposition is set to file a petition challenging last month’s presidential election in which President Yoweri Museveni was announced as winner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Opposition leader Robert Kyagulanyi popularly known as Bobi Wine rejected the poll results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
