The\nAlliance for National Transportation presidential candidate Rtd Maj Gen Mugisha\nMuntu has promised to establish a national insurance health scheme and\nagricultural banks to aid farmers in Bugisu region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Muntu\nmade the remarks while on his campaign trail in Mbale and Sironko districts\nover the weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Muntu\nwho started with prayers at St. Peters Cathedral, talked to mechanics in\nIndustrial area, Mbale and promised them a better Uganda once he gets into\nleadership come 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Muntu\npledged to promote arts, innovation, and domestic industries in a bid to\naddress the unemployment question. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\npromised to lift the locals from poverty, fix roads, provide clean drinking\nwater, and lift the standards of education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe\nmust always remember that leadership cannot be a one-man show. Uganda needs all\nher branches to thrive. Our party recognises this. And that is why in both\nspeech and deeds, we have dedicated ourselves to working with all change forces\nin the country to build a Uganda that works for everyone. Putting country before self isn’t simply our\nmantra,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe\nwere in the movement system before it became a party, we separated when they\nstarted the party, because we knew the problems already there. Gen. Museveni cannot\nstand someone who can say we are in the same party, but here we have crossed\nthe line. He wants to work with only those who will say yes to everything he\nsays,\u201d Muntu added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Muntu\nsaid there is need to change the mindset of Ugandans about the incumbent\nregime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\ntold his supporters that Museveni\u2019s government has worked tirelessly to fail\ninstitutions in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
