The chairman of the National Resistance Movement, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has taken stock of the education level in greater Luwero noting that is not doing badly because the government has constructed several schools both primary and secondary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said this while speaking to the nation after launching his official nation-wide campaigns at Kawumu Presidential Demonstration Farm in Luweero District.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In greater Luwero;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Number of primary schools; Luwero-391, Nakasongola-232 and Nakaseke -157<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Primary school enrolment; Luwero-127,805, Nakasongola- 43,836 and Nakaseke-52,806.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
UPE Capitation Grant 2020\/2021; Luwero-2.192 billion, Nakasongola-868 million and Nakaseke 965 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Every parish in Luwero and Nakasongola districts have a primary school. Only 22 out of 75 parishes in Nakaseke District don\u2019t have a primary school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Number of secondary schools; Luwero-56, Nakasongola-23, Nakaseke-26.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Secondary school enrolment; Luwero-27,852, Nakasongola-7,278, Nakaseke-27,596<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Museveni also said that; \u201cUgandans should understand that technical schools are the key. We are going to remove school fees so that people can study for free.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTechnical schools are important. All Gombololas in Luwero have a technical school. I want to know the level of enrolment in these schools,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Museveni further said that he has never supported fees because it chases children from schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While articulating the NRM campaign agenda, Museveni said counties like Kinoni which are located in the same vicinity that don’t have secondary schools will get them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He noted that the party wants fairness and truth adding that in the NRM Manifesto “we talk about the land we want the landowners to stay with their land”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When it comes to water the plan, Museveni said that every village should be with one borehole or standpipe if they have water from dams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThere is a problem of water. We are going to invest more in water projects that use solar energy to solve this problem. We, however, also have dams. We want to ensure that every village at least has one borehole.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Museveni also urged people to support NRM as they did before advising the masses to avoid standing on the roadside to wave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He called upon all Ugandans to stay at home and listen to the radio and watch him on televisions as one way of fighting covid19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The president said foreign investors used to come here to construct factories, and they didn’t have electricity but now they have.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMore wealth is going to be created. I urge Ugandans also to create their own small factories,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
