Several losers in the recently concluded NRM primaries have threatened to stand as independents if the NRM Electoral Commission doesn\u2019t handles their petitions quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kenneth Jogo Biryabarema of Rubanda East blames the NRM EC of not handling the Petitions on time and this is delaying their campaign and reconciliation schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFortunately, the tribunal concurred with our prayers. They agreed that there were irregularities and ordered that we should have a re tally in the 16 contested villages. It is unfortunate that we have appeared before the Chairman Electoral Commission three times when Hon Musasizi (His Opponent) does not come with any evidence to prove that he actually won.\u201d Lamented Biryabarema before adding that;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI personally, I am mentally disturbed; for two weeks, following up on this issue which cannot be concluded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI would have embarked on other things. We would be reconciling our voters but we have not been able to do this because we are still pulling ropes here and there.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For Lauben Arinaitwe who is from Isingiro West, the counting was very terrible and doctored in the primaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThere are some polling stations which never voted you find they have results and those that never voted have results. This shows how terrible reading was.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
NRM Spokesperson Emmanuel Dombo acknowledged the delay in hearing the petitions but assured the aspirants that everyone will be worked on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThere are some residual petitions either they have reheard them but decisions haven\u2019t been made or others haven\u2019t been heard at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
