The National Unity Platform has now resorted to the public as they search for a candidate to hold their flag in the Kampala Lord Mayor Elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPUBLIC NOTICE: The Election Management Committee of the National Unity Platform hereby calls for Expression of Interest for flagbearers for the position of Lord Mayor, Kampala. This follows the stepping down of Hon. Latiff Sebagala who had been declared flag bearer for the Party,\u201d reads a tweet on NUP Twitter timeline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the same tweet, is a copy of the letter inviting the interested people to apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFollowing the stepping down of our selected flag bearer for the position of Lord Mayor of Kampala Capital City, this slot is now vacant,\u201d reads the letter signed by NUP Electoral Commission head, Mercy Walukamba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The letter further reads that;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cInterested persons are therefore hereby requested to fill-in and return their Expression of Interest forms to the Party Headquarters by Friday 25. September, 2020 at 5:00pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cInterested candidates should be Ugandans age 18 and above, and should attach the following documents to their applications: Copy of National ID, UCE and UACE certificates, NUP Membership Card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
