The Executive Director of Kampala Capital City Authority has embarked on an exercise to audit all assets that the Authority owns in order to know their current status to find out how to generate income from them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The exercise which will be led by the KCCA Deputy Executive Director, David Luyimbazi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This comes after years of mismanagement and appropriation of the City’s assets including buildings and land.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking to the media in Kampala, the executive director KCCA, Dorothy Kisaka said the move is intended to establish the exact number and quantity of the property that are going to be under their care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAs good Leaders, we are verifying what are the boarders of Kampala, where is it’s land? What historical sites we have? How many physical titles do we have?\u201d she queried.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She said the verification will be done in good faith adding that; \u201cWe believe that those who came before us did a great work. We just want to assure ourselves that Indeed this is what we have received.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She said the exercise will go on for about a month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt might take us three weeks that is what we are estimating but it could take a little bit longer,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
