The Speaker of Parliament, Ms Rebecca Kadaga has told the people of Busoga that some of her colleagues in the ruling party are busy fighting her without any tangible reason.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She revealed this while appearing on Kamuli Broadcasting Services where she discussed a wide range of issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDuring the talk show, I\u2019ve explained to the people of Busoga, with documentary evidence, how some of our leaders, led by State Minister for Karamoja, Moses Kizige, are fighting me,\u201d Kadaga wrote<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the speaker, these ill hearted people are purveying false information about her to the President aimed at frustrating her efforts towards fighting for the good of this country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She narrated that recently, the President summoned her to State House and availed her a 7-page document, authored by Kizige, cataloguing several falsehoods about her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFortunately, the President summoned Kizige and several other leaders from Busoga to attend the meeting. I disproved the litany of lies. Some of the leaders in attendance, such as Minister for the Presidency, Esther Mbayo, disagreed with the allegations,\u201d Kadaga noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The author had not expected the President to show me the letter. Instead of succouring development for our sub region, some colleagues are engaged in such acts,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Recently, State Minister for Lands, Ms Persis Namuganza accused Kadaga of working with the Opposition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In response, Kadaga said her opponent goes around spreading lies that she is supported by the Opposition, which she said is unjustifiable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLet me start by demystifying a few lies. Now when someone says I am supported by the Opposition, you know I am the Speaker of Parliament, and this position necessitates me to work neutrally to serve everyone irrespective of their political affiliations,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI work with them so that we have stability in the House. If I stop a person from speaking, how does it benefit me? I give you three minutes whether you talk nonsense, they are your minutes. You speak and go away.\u201d she added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She said such moves by her opponent are aimed at blind-folding people, which must be avoided by her supporters.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
