The accident involved a fibre glass boat&amp; an open canoe at Kiira dam. The accident involved some Pakistani tourists&amp; others yet to be identified,\u201d Lt Col Deo Akiki tweeted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He further tweeted that;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe UPDF Marine Unit has since rescued one Okidi Patrick who jumped off a seemingly rescue boat, then those on the second boat were a boy one Alwi Jaffer 9 years, his father Mr Alwi Al Ahamed all at Nile Hospital. Unfortunately, Mr Alwiz wife Hosper Shakira died in the accident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHer body has since been recovered. One Amir one of the family members and an unidentified black man who was an engineer on rescue mission are missing. Efforts to get their bodies are still on going.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It should be noted that the accident happened when a boat on which the tourists were sailing on got an engine malfunction and fast flowing water skewed the boat towards Kiira dam in Jinja.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Uganda Peoples Defence Forces has released the names of people who were involved the River Nile boat accident that happened yesterday.
