At least five staff have tested positive for COVID-19 at DFCU Bank, Lugogo Branch, the management has confirmed on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to management, the affected staff have been accorded the requisite medical and psychosocial support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“All exposed colleagues in the branch are undergoing tests and will be required to self-isolate for a period of 14 days,” the statement from management reads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Whereas tracking of all possible contacts is also underway, management said they are working with the Ministry of Health to facilitate the process of having the requisite tests carried out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As a precautionary measure, the branch has been temporarily closed to mitigate the risk of further infection to other staff, customers and the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The management said the branch will reopen after undergoing thorough decontamination and cleaning in line with the COVID-19 Standard Operating Procedures. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
For the meantime, customers are encouraged to utilise digital channels (QuickBanking, dfcu Agents, ATMs) for their routine banking activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To access banking services within the area, customers are advised to visit DFCU Branches at: Bugolobi \u2013 Kagga House, Acacia \u2013 John Babiha (Acacia) Avenue, Kololo, Banda \u2013 Shell Kyambogo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
