Following the current increase in the spread of COVID-19 in the country, many employers are getting all their employees tested so that they can curb on the spread of the virus amongst their staff. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Stanbic Bank Uganda has today confirmed that one of their staff tested positive for COVID-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the released statement, an employee at their William Street branch has tested positive and is currently undergoing treatment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“All exposed colleagues in the branch are undergoing tests and have been self-quarantined for 14 day,\u201d reads the statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While contact tracing and testing is underway, management said the branch has been temporarily closed to avoid any possible further spread of infection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe will be reopened once we have performed enhanced cleaning and disinfection protocols in accordance with standard operating procedures,” the statement further reads.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Where customers may be inconvenienced, we encourage you to utilize our digital platforms including internet banking and our banking app where possible,” said the management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To access banking services within the area, the public have been advised to visit the\u00a0 Stanbic bank branches at Nakivubo, Plot 31 William Street Kampala, Aponye, Plot 8 Burton Street, Kampala.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Stanbic Bank now joins Ministry of Finance, UEGCL, Toyota, UNRA, NBS, NTV, BBS, New Vision among many other institutions whose staff have tested positive for COVID-19 in Uganda.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
