Today, police Headquarters and national command centre in Naguru have been closed off to the pubic and to other staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the Police spokesperson Fred Enanga, the offices have been closed due to the increasing threat of COVID-19 infections and deaths in the Kampala Metropolitan area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe duration under which our headquarters is closed is three days. That is when the process of decontamination, fumigation and testing of personnel shall have been concluded,\u201d said Enanga<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the three days, the police officers working at the headquarters will all be tested and eventually police officers country wide will also be tested. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Enanga also revealed that most of the officers operating in Kampala Metropolitan have ben tested as well as those in Isingiro, Jinja and Masindi districts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Over the weekend, AIGP Asan Kasingye confirmed to being COVID-19 so it is possible that some of the staff in police have the virus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
