You\u2019ve only ever known tortured love, the pain of on-and-off, up-and-down, romantic, and tragic. You\u2019ve been so\u00a0beaten down by toxicity\u00a0that the devastation has become love to you \u2014 the degrading comments, the broken promises, the apologies without action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But if it\u2019s truly love, you won\u2019t feel a constant undercurrent of pain running through your heart.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019ll feel elation, comfort, and security \u2014 the freedom of knowing that you can be loved for who you are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If it\u2019s love, it won\u2019t hurt.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You won\u2019t feel the pain of lonely nights without them, worrying that they\u2019ll never come back to you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You won\u2019t feel the jab of harsh words and harsher actions, the moments when you feel too afraid to leave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And you won\u2019t feel the constant pressure to please them, to satisfy their every need while forsaking your own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If it\u2019s love, you\u2019ll absolutely feel the warm bliss of knowing that they won\u2019t lay a finger on your body or drive a stake through your heart \u2014 the thought that they could hurt you will fade away day by day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If it\u2019s love, it won\u2019t feel wrong.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You won\u2019t wonder why they can never seem to fully devote their heart to you when you\u2019ve seen them remain open-hearted in the past.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You won\u2019t feel like you\u2019re constantly searching for a missing piece, hunting desperately for the intangible passion you crave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And you won\u2019t lust after lover’s past, wondering why your partner can\u2019t have their charm or passion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If it\u2019s love, you\u2019ll absolutely know in the\u00a0depths of your soul that there is no other, that you both fulfill each other deeply, indubitably. You will know without a doubt that you are meant to be with each other and nothing will change that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And you won\u2019t think of jumping into a passionate new romance without any regard for the present, constantly feeling unenthused and dissatisfied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If it\u2019s love, you\u2019ll absolutely yearn for a future with them, dreaming of the moment when today becomes forever, seeing them\u00a0stand by your side through every stage of life. This special person will grow old with you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You believe that the toxic love you know is all you deserve, enduring the disparagement, the emotional neglect, the disregard for your boundaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
