{"id":17262,"date":"2020-08-14T12:59:29","date_gmt":"2020-08-14T09:59:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/?p=17262"},"modified":"2020-08-14T13:09:59","modified_gmt":"2020-08-14T10:09:59","slug":"uganda-registers-a-12th-covid-19-death","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/index.php\/2020\/08\/14\/uganda-registers-a-12th-covid-19-death\/","title":{"rendered":"Uganda&#8217;s COVID-19 Death Toll Rises To 12"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Ministry Of Health has confirmed another death of COVID19 in the country bringing the total number of deaths to 12.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There is a rising cause for alarm as Uganda has registered 12 deaths in less than a month after going four months without any such incidents since the beginning of the lockdown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The deceased is a 65-year-old Ugandan male who was a resident of the Kampala Metropolitan area. <br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He was admitted at Nsambya Hospital and later transferred to China-Uganda Friendshiphispital in Naguru after developing symptoms consistent with COVID-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kampala Metropolitan Area has been put on high alert with the latest death making it 10 in the area alone out of twelve in the country total.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> The ministry has urged Ugandans to respect the SOPs put in place to avoid a major regression in the situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Uganda currently  has registered 1,385 cases, 12 deaths and 1,142 recoveries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Ministry Of Health has confirmed another death of COVID19 in the country bringing the total number of deaths to 12.
