{"id":15918,"date":"2020-06-30T11:47:30","date_gmt":"2020-06-30T08:47:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/?p=15918"},"modified":"2020-06-30T11:47:33","modified_gmt":"2020-06-30T08:47:33","slug":"19-new-covid-19-cases-confirmed-uganda-now-stands-at-889","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/index.php\/2020\/06\/30\/19-new-covid-19-cases-confirmed-uganda-now-stands-at-889\/","title":{"rendered":"19 New COVID-19 Cases Confirmed, Uganda Now Stands At 889"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Ministry of Health Uganda has confirmed nineteen (19) new COVID-19 cases from 2,170 samples tested on 29th June, 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;All confirmed cases are Ugandans and are among 871 samples of alerts and contacts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The total confirmed COVID-19 cases in Uganda is now 889.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A total of twenty-five (25) foreign truck drivers (15 Kenyans, 7 Tanzanians, 2 Egyptians and 1 Burundian) tested positive for COVID-19 and were handed over to their respective country of origin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Confirmed Cases are;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Eleven (11) of the confirmed cases are passengers who have just returned from Afghanistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All were under quarantine at the time of test.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Seven (7) of the confirmed cases are from Amuru District and one (1) is from Kyotera District.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All were contacts to previously confirmed cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Uganda has registered a total of 819 COVID-19 recoveries and to-date, NO COVID-19 related death has been recorded.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Ministry of Health Uganda has confirmed nineteen (19) new COVID-19 cases from 2,170 samples tested on 29th June, 2020. &nbsp;All confirmed cases are Ugandans and are among 871 samples of alerts and contacts.
