More than 15 people are trapped under the rubble after a building collapsed on Saturday night in Kansanga, Kampala.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luke Owoyesigire, the deputy spokesperson for Kampala Metropolitan Police, said one person had been rescued from the collapsed building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOne person identified as Alex Kabanda has so far been rescued, but it is alleged that more than 15 people are still stuck under the rubble,\u201d Owoyesigire said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFire and rescue services are already at the scene trying to identify others that are suspected to be stuck,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The officer said investigations were also ongoing to ascertain what caused the building to collapse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
