Failure to do this shall lead to arrest and prosecution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No officer shall be found carrying a passenger, a suspect or a colleague on a motorcycle while on or off duty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over loading police vehicles too is prohibited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All officers in charge of Barracks administration are tasked with improving the Barracks environment to promote personal hygiene and good sanitation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, in Masindi District, the medical Surveillance team which is part of the District COVID 19 task force will continue engaging the police families in geographical quarantine and counsel them so as prevent stigma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The team shall also enforce hand washing in the barracks &amp; police station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Community Health outreach &amp; Community Liaison Officers shall continue sensitizing the communities to follow the guidelines as directed by Ministry of Health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All 17 suspects that were held at Masindi Police station have been released on police bond and put under institutional quarantine by the Ministry Of Health.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Inspector General of Police, JM Okoth-Ochola has issued instructions to all Police officers in Uganda following the establishment of a COVID 19 case at Masindi Police Station on Friday 1st May 2020.
