The\npolice in Kayabwe has in custody a suspect on charges of Aggravated Defilement,\nof a 4-year-old female juvenile. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This\noccurred on the 3\/3\/2020 at around 10am, at Lubanda B village, Nindye \u2013Parish,\nNkozi Sub County, Mpigi district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\nsuspect identified as Sseguya Godfrey, a 21-year-old, male adult, and casual\nworker from Kankobe village, found the 4-year-old victim alone, while her\nfather was fetching firewood in the neighbourhood. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\nvictim responded to the cries by the daughter, and found the suspect trying to\nescape from his house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\narrested and took him to the Vice Chairperson LCI. The victim had sustained\nsemen around her private parts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
She\nwas rushed to Buwama Health Centre III for further treatment. The suspect was\ndetained at Kayabwe Police Station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A\nsecond case of Aggravated Defilement was registered at Gomba District, where a\none Kawesi Samuel, a 29-year-old peasant, of Kigo village, Bukandula Parish,\nKabulasoke Sub-county, Gomba District met the 7-year-old female juvenile with\nher 3-year-old brother while going to fetch water from the borehole, on the\n7\/3\/2020, at Sali village, Kyegonza Sub-county, Gomba District.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\ntricked the victims\u2019 young brother into going away and dragged the girl victim\nto a sugar plantation, where he defiled her from. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
She\nnarrated the ordeal to her parents who reported to the police and inquiries\ninstituted. The suspect was arrested and in custody.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\ntwo incidents clearly reveal how girl victims are vulnerable and targeted by\nsexual predators. We would like to thank\nthe parents and local council leaders for doing the right thing of reporting\nthe matters to police.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
