NRM Party leaders in the Rwenzori region have condemned Lt Gen. Henry Tumukunde’s move to run for Presidency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They however acknowledged that the move is the\u00a0 proof of the open political climate that the NRM should be appreciated for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
These remarks were made during a mobilization meeting of NRM coordinators Rwenzori region held in Kabarole District.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The deputy Attorney General Jackson Rwakafuzi said :”You remember in 2016, Tumukunde was here campaigning for Museveni, now he has turned against him that is the infighting, Iam talking about and that’s not good for development.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He advised the members with personal issues to always sit with people concerned so that such matters can be\u00a0 \u00a0addressed amicably.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The peace you are enjoying ,there are people who died for it.there are\u00a0 families that lost their relatives and you are enjoying the peace,” he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Milly Babalanda the presidential advisor said : “it is not possible for all Ugandans to belong in one party. If\u00a0 one decides to go another way, don’t hate or discriminate against them.let them enjoy the freedom of existing in the country.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kawamala Misaki, the Resident District commissioner of Kyegegwa, advised the party members to stop internal bickering because it frustrates unity, peace and\u00a0 development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Someone goes to the television and talks about the colleagues, they are working with at national level. Isn’t that bickering and infighting because someone makes a statement and another one comes and opposes,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00a0He noted that the infights among the party members is not healthy and must stop with immediate effect.\u00a0
Saleh Kamba ,NRM mobilizer said:”We are trying to see how best we can interlink the party organ\u00a0 from national to village level.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
