The\ntask team actively investigating the murder by shooting of Sheikh Mutumba\nMasudi, which occurred on the 14\/02\/2020, have tracked down and arrested the\nprime suspect behind the incident. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\nsuspect has been identified as Mugoya Abiyasad, a supervisor of SGA private\nsecurity company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Upon\ninterrogation, the suspected shooter admitted to having shot and killed the\nvictim. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nfurther provided details that led to the recovery of the gun at Rubaga, which\nwent missing on the 14\/02\/2020 at around midday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\ntask team also impounded an Ipsum motor vehicle that transported the killers\nfrom Kampala to Bugiri and arrested the driver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe\nwould like to inform the public that this is a premeditated and straight\nforward case of murder, with personal conflict due to land wrangles, as the\nmotivation,\u201d said CP Fred Enanga the Police spokesperson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nadded that; \u201cThe task team is now focusing on the facts and physical evidence,\nto clearly bring out the roles played by each of the suspects.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe\nIGP has commended the task team for their efforts thus far. The force is committed to tackling those\ninvolved in serious organised crime and in particular gun crime, and ensure\nperpetrators are put behind bars.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
