President\nYoweri Museveni has urged American companies to invest in the manufacturing\nsector on the African continent in order to boost the Ugandan and African\neconomies respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIn\norder to work for global prosperity, we must focus on producers and consumers.\nSo, we must come up with the issue of comparative advantage. You can fill in\nthe gap of industries because our people are not so well exposed,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mr. Museveni was speaking in a meeting with Senator James Mountain Inhofe, Chairman of the American Senate Armed Services Committee, who along with his delegation, called on the President few days ago at State House, Entebbe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nsaid that Ugandans have started shifting from subsistence to commercialized\nagriculture and now there is still need for the country to grow in the\nindustrialization sector for value addition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Regarding\ncyber security threats, President Museveni stressed that although technology\nhas helped the world to move faster, it is essential that countries like the\nUnited States of America, China and Israel, among others, unite and fight\ncollectively against global threats that come with the advancement in technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
