Most of us are\nactually addicted to social media and that isn\u2019t a conversation we are ready to\nhave but at the end of the day, we need to get back to our real world. We are letting\na group of strangers decide what we eat, what we wear, how we look and so on. Here\nare a few ways you could be letting social media take more of you than it\nshould<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Being rude on social media. Often people abuse\nstrangers or even their own friends when they can\u2019t confront them in person. But\nif you can\u2019t say those same words to the person face to face, why are you\nuttering them here on social media?<\/li><li>Need to please others.&nbsp; Some are willing to shame even their own\nfamily for a few likes and acceptance from strangers. At the end of the day,\nyou don\u2019t know these people and the ones you\u2019re shaming are going to be hurt. You\u2019re\nruining your real life for the one built on your phone.<\/li><li>Deleting pictures without \u201cenough\u201d likes. On seeking\nvalidation, often you delete your pictures that you had posted and people didn\u2019t\nseem to notice or like. If you felt like you had a nice shot of you, why wait for\nsomeone to approve of it to assure you that it was nice?<\/li><li>Constantly checking our phones even in public. Despite\nbeing with friends and in a social space, you\u2019re glued to your phone and\ncutting out all interaction. Networking is a very important part of life so take\noff some time and try to connect with the different people around you.<\/li><li>Measuring your life according to social media\nstandards. We see people stating their standards and we are so quick to assume\nthey follow those rules so they have their life together. We therefore try to\nlive up to those unrealistic standards and most times end up ruining our real\nlife.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Check the habits you have taken on (knowingly\nor unknowingly) and try to see how to measure up.
