{"id":13956,"date":"2020-02-15T10:30:54","date_gmt":"2020-02-15T07:30:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/?p=13956"},"modified":"2020-02-15T10:30:56","modified_gmt":"2020-02-15T07:30:56","slug":"suspects-arrested-in-bugiri-sheikh-shooting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/index.php\/2020\/02\/15\/suspects-arrested-in-bugiri-sheikh-shooting\/","title":{"rendered":"Suspects Arrested In Bugiri Sheikh Shooting"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The\nterritorial police in Busoga East Region (Bugiri) is actively investigating a\ncase of murder by shooting vide CRB 112\/2020 (of CPS Bugiri of sheikh Mutumba\nMasudi 60years).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sheikh\nMutumba was the Imam of Iwemba Mosque, Iwemba Sub county Bugiri District.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The\nincident occurred yesterday at around 9:00PM at the deceased\u2019s home in Busimba\nvillage Iwemba sub county Bugiri District.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He\nwas shot by a single bullet targeted to his head and he died instantly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Upon\nreceiving information, the police technical team headed by the Regional CID,\nScene of Crime officers and commanders visited the scene and cordoned it off to\nstart investigations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An\nexhibit (cartridge) of an AK 47 riffle was recovered and has been submitted to forensic\nexperts to establish which gun was used in committing the crime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Police\nconfirms that four suspects are in custody at CPS Bugiri, to help in\ninvestigations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The\nhunt for the prime suspect by the joint security team is underway.&nbsp; <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The territorial police in Busoga East Region (Bugiri) is actively investigating a case of murder by shooting vide CRB 112\/2020 (of CPS Bugiri of sheikh Mutumba Masudi 60years).
