{"id":13828,"date":"2020-02-11T07:05:46","date_gmt":"2020-02-11T04:05:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/?p=13828"},"modified":"2020-02-11T07:16:20","modified_gmt":"2020-02-11T04:16:20","slug":"cameroonians-arrested-in-kampala-with-fake-dollar-notes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/index.php\/2020\/02\/11\/cameroonians-arrested-in-kampala-with-fake-dollar-notes\/","title":{"rendered":"Cameroonians Arrested In Kampala With Fake Dollar Notes"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The\nDirectorate of Criminal Intelligence conducted 4 separate raids on criminal\ngangs dealing in counterfeit currencies at Cham Towers, Crystal Valley Hotel,\nMengo and selected outskirts of Kampala. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The\ntask team seized fake Ugandan Shillings, black dollars bills totalling $10.500,\nUSD 200, 16 bundles of black US Paper Dollars and chemicals among several\nexhibits. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Four\nCameroonian Nationals and 3 Ugandans were arrested during the operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During\nthe month January, the task team arrested, the 4 Cameroonian Nationals while\nplanning to carry out an illegal business dealing in minerals from Cham Towers.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A\nfurther search was immediately conducted at their premises in Lukuli-Kibalama\nLCI, Makindye Division. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Several\nexhibits were recovered, which included; 560 counterfeit notes in the\ndenomination of 50,000 thus a face value of Ugx 28m, 105 counterfeit US dollar\nbills of $100 totalling USD 10,500, 7 bottles of Chemicals (6 small bottles of\n60mg and 1 white bottle of 100mg).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Directorate of Criminal Intelligence conducted 4 separate raids on criminal gangs dealing in counterfeit currencies at Cham Towers, Crystal Valley Hotel, Mengo and selected outskirts of Kampala.
