\n\nThe president of Rwanda Paul Kagame has said that Uganda-Rwanda boarder will be open if Uganda stop supporting hostile groups of people that disstablize his country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The standoff escalated dramatically in March 2019 when Rwanda publicly accused Uganda of abducting its citizens and supporting rebels bent on overthrowing the government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While speaking to the annual diplomats launch on Thursday ,Kagame revealed that there has been progress in the talks with Uganda. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I think we are making progress as well and we want to continue to make good progress but there will always going to be work to do,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was however cognizant of the challenges\u00a0 that are still faced in the quest to solve Uganda- Rwanda impasse. He also claimed that some of the freed prisoners from Uganda are dying while others are in critical condition.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Some of these freed prisoners have been dying as they arrive back home and when they do postmortem they find that it was due to torture, and some of them are in the hospital,” he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kagame warned Uganda to stop arresting Rwandans noting that Rwandans have no offence against Uganda.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I do ask a favor just stop arresting Rwandans because most of those you have arrested\u00a0 has no case at all, if they have a case, they have not been put to the courts of law for months and for years,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also asked Uganda to allegedly stop associating with hostile groups which he said they are destabilizing Rwanda.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
