{"id":13528,"date":"2020-01-30T10:16:52","date_gmt":"2020-01-30T07:16:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/?p=13528"},"modified":"2020-01-30T10:16:54","modified_gmt":"2020-01-30T07:16:54","slug":"nwsc-in-massive-customer-outreach-campaign","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/index.php\/2020\/01\/30\/nwsc-in-massive-customer-outreach-campaign\/","title":{"rendered":"NWSC in Massive Customer Outreach Campaign"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The\nNational Water and Sewerage Corporation has embarked on a massive customer\noutreach campaign in all its areas of operation across the country.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\n&#8220;Customer Connect-Tumanyagane&#8221; programme was flagged off by the\nManaging Director Dr. Eng Silver Mugisha in Kampala Nalukolongo zone. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According\nto Dr. Mugisha, the campaign is aimed at;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022Sharing\nthe various interventions, the corporation is undertaking to improve water\nsupply in the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022Verifying\nweather bills are actually being delivered to customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022Understand\nand resolve customer challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022Check\nout functionality of installations at the customer&#8217;s home among others<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;This\ncampaign is happening in all our areas of operation. We want to reach out to\nour customers and understand their challenges, check on the integrity of our\nfield staff, appreciate customers who pay bills promptly, verify the meter\nreadings and share the interventions we are doing to improve water\nsupply.&#8221; he said<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Responding\nto requests of prepaid meter technology from customers, Dr. Mugisha said that the\ntechnology in water engineering is quite unique and expensive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;NWSC\nhas over 600,000-meter connections. Installing good prepaid meters that cost\nabout 3,750,000 each does not make economic sense when Uganda has not yet achieved\nSDG 6 and water for all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Let us achieve water for all and then\nautomate.&#8221; he said<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He\nurged customers to visit any of their&nbsp;&nbsp;\nservice centres or engage them on their social media pages on Facebook,\nTwitter, Instagram and Snapchat for help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We\ncannot serve our customers better in the comfort of our offices.
