The National coordinator of Alliance for National Transformation Maj. Gen. Mugisha Muntu has said Uganda is currently in a total mess due to poor governance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The moment President Museveni gets out of power; I do not think he will leave a positive legacy. The organisation he heads will disintegrate because he has built it as an individual,” he said<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nmade the remarks while appearing on NBS morning Breeze on Monday morning. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“If the regime was running affairs of the country in the right way, we would accept such invitations like for the NRM Liberation celebrations,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nnoted that what is happening in the country should not be something that would\nsurprise most of the people more especially for those who went to the bush. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“We\nhad different ambitions and you can see the manifestations playing out today.\nThe struggle continues because there have been fallouts at different times.\nRight now, we are in a mess. The belief is that when you have power, you use it\nto your advantage. That is not the case,” he said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nsaid on several occasions he has heard president Museveni talk about\ninfrastructural development but that is not what took them to the bush.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nsaid the contestation was on governance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nfurther noted that if President Museveni makes it to the 2021 elections, it\nwill not be because of his capabilities but our structural weaknesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nurged Ugandans to learn how to organise themselves in order to dislodge\npresident Museveni from power. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The\npopulation has surrendered to what they think is inevitable, that Museveni has\nalready won the 2021 elections. This is exactly what he wants. I hope the\nopposition does not fall for this as well,” he said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nsaid Ugandans should have to keep hope because the moment people lose hope, they\nwill start dying. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
”\nWe are going to see a shift in the balance of forces. Museveni lacks humility\nand courage to suppress negative thoughts. He is not going to wake up overnight\nand change unless something miraculous happens,” he said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
