Drama in the life of Bugingo is just getting worse by the day. Barely a week when his former wife refused to drop the ‘Bugingo’ name, renowned Pastor Bugingo made some controversial statements that have brought him under scrutiny by ministry of Ethics. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ministry of Ethics and Integrity is set to summon Pastor Aloysius Bigingo of the House of Prayer Ministries International over his latest remarks on marriage vows in which he is quoted to have referred to them as satanic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Director for Ethics Integrity and Religious Affairs Rev. Canon Aaron Mwesigye says Bujingo\u2019s ministry is turning out to be like the \u2018\u2019Kibwetere\u2019\u2019 cult who if not checked could destroy the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHe (Bugingo) is another Kibwetere of 2000, he convinces people through manipulation. He is teaching wrong doctrine, scripture, and theology,\u201d Mwesigye said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe are going to summon Pastor Bugingo but we must be protected by security organs of the country and Christians need to know why he is summoned.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mwesigye believes that Bugingo is a lost sheep who has fallen short of God\u2019s spirit of guidance hence he is justifying his divorce to his wife.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBugingo to me is a lost sheep, he needs to be counseled by fellow clergy and elders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On January 9,\u00a0during prayers at his church in Makerere Kikoni, Bugingo said that marriage vows are not in the bible, further challenging his congregation to show him a part which says\u201d \u201ctill death do us part\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI have read the Bible countless times but I have never come across any verse that tells marrieds that it will be death to do them apart, those vows which are made by Anglicans, Catholics and Born-again, are satanic, that is why when couples find that they are no longer compatible, they find ways taking away each other\u2019s lives because the vows involve death,\u201d Bugingo said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bugingo\u2019s comments caused a stir on social media and within the clergy, with Rt. Rev. Johnson Twinomujuni, the Bishop of West Ankole Diocese among other clergymen responding detailed about the mater.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
